12-Year-Old Shoots and Kills Home Intruder, Police Say

A police department in North Carolina is investigating an armed robbery and shooting.

According to a Facebook post from the Goldsboro Police Department, police responded to the shooting call at approximately 12:43 a.m. o n the 13th of February.

It was discovered at the home that a 73-year-old woman had been shot. She was rushed to the hospital to be evaluated for life-threatening injuries.

Police identified as Khalil Herring who was located with a gunshot wound.

According to the authorities, two masked men forced themselves into the house and shot the 73-year-old woman.

A 12-year-old who lives at the home, shot the suspect, police said, making the robber run away.

The 12-year-old has not been charged and the investigation continues.
