According to officials, at least 126 pounds of cocaine worth $2 million washed up in three separate places in the Florida Keys over the weekend.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, one stash weighing 72 pounds was discovered on the beach in Tavernier’s mangroves near a condo building. Local citizens noticed the packages and notified authorities.

“The large package contained multiple smaller packages tightly packed with black tape,” spokesman Adam Linhardt said. “Its contents field-tested positive for cocaine.”

Two more cocaine wash-ups were observed in the Lower Keys on Cudjoe Key and the Middle Keys on Duck Key.

The valuable illegal substances, estimated to be worth $2 million on the black market, was turned over to federal officials.

According to Newsweek, data from Customs and Border Protection show that more than 60,000 pounds of illicit drugs were retrieved across the United States in June.
