San Antonio Police shot and killed a 13-year-old boy after he collided into a police vehicle with a stolen vehicle while fleeing on the Southwest Side.

Around 1:30 a.m. Friday, the incident occurred off War Cloud Street near Old Pearsall Road.

According to authorities, they responded to numerous reports of shots being fired in the area. When they arrived on scene, they attempted to stop the suspect’s vehicle, which had been noted as stolen. According to police, the accused then sped up and collided with the police vehicle.

According to the police report, a 2nd officer shot the accused because he was “fearing the other officer would be stuck by the suspect vehicle.”

The 13-year-old boy was taken to the hospital, but he died as a result of his injuries.

Two other minor suspects were not hurt.

The investigation is still going on.
