Two individuals were murdered and 12 others were injured in a mass shooting at a home party near Bridgeton, New Jersey.

According to state police, the victims were a 30-year-old male and a 25-year-old woman. Their identities have not been revealed. One of the 12 injured victims is in critical condition. Investigators believe that all of the victims were adults.

State police report that no people have been arrested. Officials stated more than a 100 individuals were at the house at the time for a party.

Fairfield Township Mayor Benjamin Byrd was there at the scene, where tents and chairs were strewn about. Byrd stated that he knows little about the shooting. “Nobody knows when someone’s going to come out of the woods with a gun,” Byrd said. 

Hundreds of mostly teenagers attended a 1990s-themed birthday celebration, according to community leaders.

According to police, no arrests have been made in the case.
