According to Garland Police, a 16-year-old girl was arrested for manslaughter after fatally shooting her 18-year-old friend while the two were live-streaming.

Police responded to a residence in the 1700 block of Apollo Road on July 5. That’s when they encountered the victim, identified as Princess Omobogie, who had been shot.

According to Garland police, Omobogie had used a mobile phone to live-stream her friend, who’d been holding two firearms. According to authorities, one of the two firearms discharged, striking Ombogie.

Omobogie initially did survive and was transported to a hospital, but she died two days later from her injuries.

Because Omobogie’s friend is a minor, police are not naming her. She was taken to the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Facility.

The investigation is ongoing as investigators received a copy of the live-stream video.
