Grand jury indicts 2 men for sexually assaulting 12-year-old boy (2018)

Two Atlanta men have been sentenced to prison for luring a 12-year-old boy who missed the bus to a Brookhaven apartment and sexually assaulting him.

On January 29, 2018, the incident happened. The boy had missed his bus and was walking home when he was approached by Kevin Walker, 51, according to authorities. Walker reportedly lured the boy to his apartment, in which he and Kelvin Jermain Armstrong, 43, sexually assaulted him.

They allegedly gave the child $5 and threatened him with physical harm if he told anybody about assault.

According to FOX5, the boy allegedly ran to the leasing office for help and Walker was apprehended the very same day. Armstrong was apprehended less than a week later. Both men confessed to police on tape, saying Walker invited Armstrong to the apartment.

Armstrong was found guilty of child molestation as well as reckless conduct. Walker pleaded guilty to three counts of child molestation, aggravated child molestation, and reckless conduct.

Armstrong was given two life sentences plus a total of 29 years in prison. Walker was given a life sentence plus 40 years in prison.
