According to police, a Florida lady is facing criminal charges in the death of a 2-year-old child who was left in a hot car.
According to jail records, Juana Perez-Domingo, 43, is accused with aggravated manslaughter of a child. The woman’s bond was set at $50,000, and no representation was listed for her, according to ABC11.
Perez-Domingo was expected to drive the small child to daycare in Homestead early Friday morning, according to police. She took the girl to her own house first because the childcare wasn’t open yet, then became sidetracked and forgot about the child until she returned to the car nearly seven hours later.
According to a Miami-Dade police report, Instead of calling 911, Perez-Domingo phoned the child’s mother and afterwards took her to the child’s mother’s house.
According to authorities, an autopsy has been requested to establish the child’s official cause of death.
