2nd Teen Charged With Murder in The Deadly Assault of Elderly Man in Philadelphia

Authorities announced Wednesday that a 2nd teen has been charged with murder in the deadly beating of a 73-year-old man with a traffic cone in Philadelphia last month.

The 14-year-old girl, who has not yet been identified, surrendered and will be charged with 3rd-degree murder in the death of James Lambert, according to an email from a spokeswoman for Philadelphia County District Attorney Larry Krasner.

The arrest comes one day after a 14-year-old kid was charged with 3rd-degree murder in connection with the June 24 assault, which was captured on surveillance cameras and published last week by the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to a representative for the District Attorney’s Office, both minors will be charged as adults.
