A Florida mother is accused of getting involved in a brawl involving her son and other kids.
Ashley Ruffin, 30, was arrested by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office on charges of battery and child abuse.
According to FCSO, the kid told police that he was sitting with his buddies outside the sports facility at Indian Trails Middle School in Palm Coast when he was assaulted by the two boys.
His friends rushed over to aid him, and the victim claimed that Ruffin held him at some time during the altercation, allowing her son and the other boy to continue beat him.
According to investigators, a witness stated that the mother pulled out a Taser during the altercation.
She has denied attempting to harm a child, claiming in a Facebook Live video that she was merely attempting to get her son away from the fight.
Flager County Sheriff Rick Staly says that he doubts that Ruffin “will receive a mother of the year award.”
The minors involved in the fight may also face battery charges.
