For allegedly killing six individuals during a botched robbery at a Milwaukee duplex in January, a Wisconsin man faces six counts of felony murder.

Travis Lamar Birkley, 34, was charged and is being held on a $1 million bond.

The six victims were discovered on Jan. 23 at a residence in north Milwaukee, though authorities think they were murdered three days prior.

Charles Hardy, 42, Caleb Jordan, 23, Javoni Liddell, 31, Donta “Michael” Williams, 44, Michelle Williams, 49, and Donald Smith, 43, were officially identified by police as the deceased.

According to a complaint acquired by Fox 6 Milwaukee, a confidential informant told detectives that Birkley confessed to murdering all six victims during a “robbery gone bad” with his cousin.

Birkley reportedly took a “selfie” in the cellar of the home on Jan. 20, hours after the killings, in which he is wearing sunglasses that belonged to one of the deceased, according to detectives.

According to the complaint, a witness told police that Birkley was seen with cash, firearms, and drugs following a victim’s deaths.

Four persons of interest were arrested and later released by the Milwaukee Police Department days after the murders.

In regard to the murders, no one else has been charged. On Monday, the Milwaukee Police Department declined to comment on any other possible suspects in the case.
