Following her arrest on drug charges, a woman who worked as a police officer for the Wynne Police Department has lost her job.

On Monday, April 25, Chief Richard Dennis’ office learned that Candace Cole, 36, attempted to purchase “illicit narcotics” while off-duty. The First Judicial District Drug Task Force was then notified by the police department.

Following the task force’s investigation, agents arrested Cole and booked her into the Woodruff County Detention Center, according to KAIT8.

According to a spokesperson for Woodruff County Sheriff Phil Reynolds, she was released from jail Tuesday night after posting bond.

“This case, in its entirety, is being handled by the First Judicial District Drug Task Force,” Dennis said. “Any and all inquiries should be directed to that agency.”
