A cop shot a 37-year-old woman, Eddie Garcia, at Dallas Love Field Airport on Monday after she started firing near the ticketing counter.
Details are unknown, however witnesses on the scene tell NBC 5 that she announced something about infidelity before the incident.
“She basically said in her […] her husband was cheating or something […] and she was about to blow this sucker up,” a witness tells the local outlet. “After she said that, she pulled out a gun. She fired the first shot in the air, and everybody scattered,” “We were running. There were 10-12 more shots after that.”
According to Dallas police chief Eddie Garcia, the woman was dropped off at the airport at 11 a.m. and strolled inside near the booking counters prior to actually entering the bathroom, where she reportedly changed into a new outfit from what she entered in.
She emerged from the restroom, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and brandishing a handgun.
Before being taken into custody, a cop on the scene shot the woman in her “lower extremities.” She is being treated at a nearby hospital.
Fortunately, no one else was hurt during this terrifying incident.
