A fiery wreck involving a total of six cars at a crossroads in Los Angeles’ Windsor Hills location killed at least 6 people, including a baby and a pregnant woman.

New surveillance video of the collision shows a reasonably ordinary intersection with a sensible flow of traffic until a black Mercedes comes barreling through a red light like a cruise missile, according to NBC4.

The collision occurred just before 2 p.m. on La Brea and Slauson avenues. According to the CHP, 4 to 5 people were killed in the accident and flames, including a baby and a pregnant woman.

Eight individuals were injured and taken to the hospital. According to authorities, 6 children and 2 adults were injured.

On the scene, five people were declared dead.

The CHP issued an update around 8 p.m., stating that an additional body had indeed been discovered in one of the cars that had become consumed by flames, bringing the total number of fatalities to six.

Two of the three destroyed cars came to a halt in front of a gas station sign. Another appeared to have slid onto its roof at the entrance to the gas station in the neighborhood about 10 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles.
