On Wednesday afternoon, a bronze statue of George Floyd was revealed in front of Newark City Hall.

According to WABC-TV, Mayor Ras Baraka, actor and filmmaker Leon Pickney, who funded the statue, and sculptor Stanley Watts revealed the 700-pound bronze statue given to the City of Newark this week.

Floyd’s death at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer last year sparked an international racial justice crusade.

The statue will be on display outside City Hall for at least a year, according to Bloomberg.
