Blue Ivy Carter has won an award for Best Cinematography at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, making her the youngest VMA winner in history. The category in which she won was not announced during Sunday’s VMAs telecast.
Ivy’s voice can be heard at the start and the end of the song, and she also did appear in the music video with her mother, Beyonce.
It’s not the first time the song has been recognized with a major award; it also won the Grammy Award for Best Music Video earlier in year. The song appeared on the 2019 soundtrack album The Lion King: The Gift, and the music video was in ‘Black Is King’, Beyoncé’s 2020 Netflix film.
