Man Arrested For The Stabbing Death Of Former Singer of R&B Group 'Ideal

According to ABC13, Andre Ford was apprehended after police received an anonymous tip. He has been charged with the murder of Cedrick Cotton, a former R&B artist.

46-Year-Old Cotton was stabbed to death outside of a food mart in southwest Houston last month.

“He’d ride his little bike, go there, get a quick cigarette,” said Delores Floyd, Cotton’s mother. “The next thing I know, I get this call and I heard people … ‘He comes here every day. He doesn’t bother anybody. He’s a good guy.'”

Cotton was a member of the Houston-based R&B group ‘Ideal’ and played football at Lamar High School. The band released an album and was known for songs such as “Whatever.”
