Denzel Washington sent out a statement to Entertainment Weekly after Chadwick Boseman passed away from colon cancer at the age of 43.
In the statement, Washington wrote: “He was a gentle soul and a brilliant artist, who will stay with us for eternity through his iconic performances over his short yet illustrious career. God bless Chadwick Boseman.”
In 2018, Boseman disclosed that Washington had actually paid for students, which included himself, to study acting in England as part of the Oxford Midsummer British American Drama Academy, carried out at Balliol College, Oxford University.
