A$AP Rocky Detained at LAX in Connection to 2021 Shooting

A$AP Rocky was arrested at LAX on Wednesday morning in connection with a shooting in 2021.

Rocky arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport after a widely publicized trip to Barbados with pregnant longtime girlfriend Rihanna and was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, according to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department for his alleged role in a shooting on November 6.

According to authorities, an argument between “two acquaintances” erupted, resulting in the suspect opening fire with a handgun at the victim. Following the shooting, the suspect and two other males fled the scene.

Rocky, 33, was later identified as the suspect by authorities.

Rocky was previously in legal trouble in 2019 when he was arrested and imprisoned for a month in Sweden for his active participation in a street fight with purported “drug addicts.”

A Swedish judge ordered Rocky and two members of his crew to be released until the verdicts in the assault case that got the attention of President Donald Trump were announced.

The baby of Rocky and Rihanna, 34, is due real soon.
