A guy was arrested early Saturday morning after authorities say he planned to kill himself and people leaving a FedEx Forum performance after a breakup.

Memphis police responded to an armed mental consumer complaint on S. Main St. at 2:48 a.m. Officers encountered Elijah Hyman, 28, and his girlfriend there. According to authorities, the couple had recently broken up. Hyman’s right hand was gushing blood from a cut glass pane inside his residence, although it is unclear how the injury arose.

It was then that Hyman threatened to kill himself and people leaving Friday night’s Yo Gotti concert.

Officers were told that Hyman kept a number of guns in his residence. A search warrant was executed, and many firearms were seized. In this case, ATF agents were contacted.

Hyman was arrested, handcuffed, and transferred to a hospital for medical care and examination.

He was charged with commission of the act of terrorism.
