According to reports, Ray Liotta, the iconic actor recognized for his career-defining acting skills in the crime masterpiece “Goodfellas,” died in his sleep while filming a film in the Dominican Republic. He was 67 years old at the time.
Liotta, who also went on to star in the popular film “Field of Dreams,” was on the island filming the upcoming movie “Dangerous Waters” when he died, according to his representative, Jennifer Craig.
According to The Post, the cause of death and other details about his death were not immediately available on Thursday.
Liotta was last seen holding hands with his fiancée Jacy Nittolo, 46, in public on May 1 before his untimely death. After a Sunday meal at Spruzzo Italian restaurant in Pacific Palisades, where he resided, the two were seen walking around town in good spirits. Since Christmas Day 2020, the couple has been engaged.
While Liotta was filming in the Dominican Republic, Nittolo reportedly accompanied him to the set. She hasn’t said anything about his death yet.
