Alfonso Ribeiro is tired of being asked to reenact his famed “Carlton Dance” from the ’90s sitcom.

I’m a black guy — I’m just not dancing for you. It’s not gonna happen,” the host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” told Jimmy Kimmel of his legendary dances, that were famously executed to the Tom Jones song “It’s Not Usual.”

“What makes you think that you just gonna ask a random person to dance for you, and they’re gonna be like ‘Oh my God, I’ve been waiting for you to ask! Hold on a second, let me get into character.’ It’s not — I don’t get it. It’s not gonna happen.”

Ribeiro, who attempted to patent the routines in 2019 but was denied by the government, stated that he receives requests to perform the character’s signature moves “every day of my life if I go outside.”

From 1990 through 1996, the “Dancing With the Stars” alum played Carlton Banks on the NBC sitcom, serving as the antagonist and cousin to main star Will Smith’s character.
