According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a mother arrested over the weekend and admitted to detectives that she murdered her three children with the assistance of a teenager.
Angela Flores, 38, was arrested on Sunday after her three children were discovered dead inside a West Hills residence, according to KTLA.
According to an LAPD news release, an unidentified 16-year-old was also apprehended in connection with the case.
During the subsequent investigation, the mother confessed to killing her children with the aid of the teen, according to the LAPD.
Around 7:40 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the residence in the 22500 block of Victory Boulevard and discovered three unresponsive children.
The children, a 12-year-old girl and two 8-year-old boys, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their true identities are yet to be disclosed.
Neighbors reported hearing a woman crying while carrying a candle and a bible Saturday night. Investigators are still trying to figure out when the children were murdered.
There has been no word on the cause of death for the children.
Flores has been charged with three charges of murder and is being jailed on a $6 million bail.
According to the LAPD, the 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of one count of murder and is being denied bail at Sylmar Juvenile Hall.
