According to co-host Angela Yee, “The Breakfast Club” is officially over.
Yee sent ripples through social networks Tuesday night with a vague tweet in which she hinted at some disappointing news for fans of the popular talk radio show.
“The breakfast club, as you know it, is officially over,” the 46-year-old wrote on Twitter.
According to Nielsen data, the popular Power 105.1 FM morning show is heard on over 100 stations country wide and has over 8 million listeners every month.
Though Yee stayed tight-lipped about the elusive statement, she had just 15 minutes earlier posted on twitter “GOD is good!”
The Breakfast Club will be inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in August 2020, according to PageSix.
Since its inception in 2010, the show’s Channel on youtube, which features short and full-length vids from each morning’s program, has managed to amass over 5.15 million subscribers.
