
Brittany Macon, 26, has been identified as the victim by family members and the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
26-Year-Old Brittany Macon’s relatives described her as clever, sweet, and hardworking. She had just been at Subway for three weeks and had previously worked for UPS.
Jada Nicole Statum, 24, was identified by relatives as the second employee. Her family said that she was in critical condition in the hospital as of Monday afternoon.

According to the family, Macon and Statum resided together and Macon treated Statum’s son, who witnessed the murder, as her own.
According to Atlanta Police Department Deputy Chief Charles Hampton, this may have been averted.
“Someone failed to resolve a conflict by just walking away, having a conversation to just reorder a sandwich, decided to take actions into his hands, and now we have families who are devastated,” he said.
