Baltimore Police Get Into A Shootout With Grocery Store Armed Security Guard

The Baltimore Police Department revealed the body-worn camera video of a shootout between cops and an armed security guard who was angry about his paycheck.

The authorities said that when the officers arrived, they started to cover the interior of the shop, they were notifying by the witnesses that the armed suspect, later identified as Dontae Green, 34, was behind them on the other side of the market.

The video shows that the officers started walking in Green’s direction when, without warning, the police said he started shooting a 9mm semi-automatic weapon at the cops. Both officers immediately took cover as Green continued to fire his weapon, the authorities said.

One officer fled outside the shop, while the other began to pursue and exchange gunfire with Green.

Green managed to avoid being caught by fleeing the store through the back entrance, the police said.

Police said Green had been hiding in the closet of a house where the marshals were serving a warrant when he fired at them, hitting a marshal in the torso. The marshals returned gunfire and hit Green.

Green was declared dead on the scene, the authorities said.
