The Atlanta police are investigating a shooting in a McDonald’s restaurant parking area.

Friday at 4 p.m., police in Atlanta report that an employee shot his manager following an argument.

The manager was transported to the hospital in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the police.

According to investigators, the manager was involved in a disagreement with an employee at the business. The worker was asked to leave. Then he resurfaced and approached the restaurant manager outside where he shot her.

After shooting the manager, the employee fled. Colnith Brown, chief people officer for Sunshine and Sunrise McDonald’s, identified Elizabeth Williams as the manager. According to him, she is currently at Grady Memorial Hospital and “doing ok, the last I heard.”

Brown praised Williams, who has worked with the restaurant for 3 years, as a “amazing leader” who was “very loved by her team and the community.”

According to him, Williams and the employee who shot her, who has not been identified, had a positive relationship. According to Brown, Williams returned a load of laundry she had washed for the employee on that day.
