Blood was splashed everywhere near the former volleyball star as she slumped hurt on the pavement, according to video recorded seconds after she was assaulted on the streets of Downtown Los Angeles.
Over the weekend, Benson Parks took the clip on his phone, just minutes after Glass, who won a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, was reportedly struck by a heavy item hurled by a homeless guy who was standing nearby in the street.
There were numerous pools of blood surrounding Glass, who was clutching a gauze near her eye and screaming in anguish, as shown in the clips.
The footage also shows Parks grabbing the man accused of hurling the object.
37-year-old Glass stated that she sustained many facial fractures and required several staples to repair the gashes on her face… but that doctors were confident that her vision would soon function normally.
Meanwhile, the suspect was apprehended by the LAPD, and charged with criminal assault with a dangerous weapon, according to TMZ.
