A man has been arrested on suspicion of breaking into a San Bernardino home 9 weeks ago and observing members of the family sleep in their bedroom.
Police released surveillance video showing the guy standing over the couple in their bedroom. Their infant was in a different room.
“Just standing there, staring at us,” one of the homeowners, who requested anonymity, told NBCLA.
The burglar then searched the room for valuables, stealing a wedding ring and some cash. The man’s entry into the home was not immediately clear, but the couple stated that a screen in their infant’s room was partially open.
Following the break-in, the couple immediately adopted a dog.
Police announced his arrest but have not identified him and have appealed to the public for assistance in determining whether he was involved in any other incidents.
According to the couple, the man had some parting words for the baby’s nurse. “You should lock your door. It’s not safe.”
