Sara Kruzan murdered a man in a Riverside motel room when she was 16 years old. He had been her pimp, a man who had been sexually abusing and trafficking her since she was just 13 years old.

Sara was sentenced to life in prison when she was 17 years old. Gov. Gavin Newsom has now pardoned Sara Kruzan.
