A guy being robbed fought back against two armed thieves in a daylight robbery in Philadelphia, as caught on video.

The attempted robbery and shooting near the junction of East Cheltenham Avenue and Erdick Street about 1:49 p.m. on Monday, July 11, was captured on film by Philadelphia police and posted to YouTube on Tuesday.

Video of the event shows a man in a blue shirt tussling with the first would-be robber as they smash into a stop sign post.

As the two struggled on the ground, a second would-be robber, wearing a white tank top, maroon shorts with black designs on the sides, and black Crocs, approaches with a handgun, authorities said.

“The victim managed to wrestle a firearm away from offender #1 just as offender #2 began firing shots from his own firearm, striking the victim two times,” police said in their news release.

Police said the victim fired at the second suspect, striking him at least once.

According to authorities, the man in the blue shirt was wounded in the buttocks and left ankle and was taken to the hospital.

The second suspect’s Crocs were discovered at the location by police.

If you see the males involved, contact 911 immediately, according to authorities.

Anyone with information is requested to phone or text 215-686-8477 or report it online.

After the gunshot, the two would-be thieves jumped back into “possibly an Infiniti with chrome trim and billet type grill with no brand logo” and sped off on Erdick Street, police added.
