Insider reported, Mike Tyson will not face criminal charges after being caught on camera slugging a disruptive passenger in the head on a flight from San Francisco International Airport last month, according to the Associated Press on Tuesday.

According to the Associated Press, the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office indicated they will not arrest the former boxing champion because of “the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.”

“These include the conduct of the victim leading up to the incident, the interaction between Mr. Tyson and the victim, as well as the requests of both the victim and Mr. Tyson that no charges be filed in this case,” District Attorney Stephen Wagstaffe said on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

Tyson representatives did not react immediately to Insider’s request for comment.

According to his representatives, the individual seated behind Tyson was “an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat.”

The April 20 incident was captured on video by a traveler on the Florida-bound JetBlue aircraft and first reported by TMZ.
