Two men have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting at an east Charlotte QuikTrip on Memorial Day evening, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Kedar Jahari Rogers, 22, is charged with murder, and Ibn Reid, 22, is charged with complicity in a murder, according to the police. According to the police, both were arrested early on Tuesday morning and are currently being held in the Mecklenburg County jail, WSOC-TV reported.
Monday at 11:40 p.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a drag racing disturbance call near North Sharon Amity Road on Central Avenue. As they stood at the crime scene, they heard gunfire emanating from across the street.
A video posted to social media shows a crowded QuikTrip just before gunshots are heard. When shots were fired, a large number of vehicles fled the area, according to the CMPD.

Officers immediately responded to the location of the gunfire and discovered 21-year-old Donald Taylor, who had been shot. Officers reported that he died on the scene.
