Con Artist Pretending To Be Bruno Mars Scams 63-Year-Old Woman Out Of $100K

Police say that after a woman fell in love with someone claiming to be the entertainer Bruno Mars, a woman in Texas was scammed out of $100,000.

The woman says she had an online relationship with the fraudster after she assumed she was corresponding with Mars on Instagram.

According to the authorities, she was convinced that Mars needed the help of travel costs.

Authorities have arrested two Houston men who were allegedly employed to open accounts to deposit the victim’s cash.
