Last week, an Ohio man claims he obtained more than he he ordered via DoorDash.

According to the DoorDash customer, he discovered a fork and a side of weed at the bottom of his delivery bag.

“I was scared at first, but then again, I wasn’t very surprised,” the man, who wished to remain anonymous, said.

He stated the operator returned to his house, asking for the weed and claiming there was pain medication in the bag for his buddy.

According to the customer, he did not hand over the weed to the driver. He contacted the police and filed a complaint with DoorDash.

“I’m a healthcare worker and see how this affects people daily. I even had a close friend’s nephew pass away due to smoking some marijuana laced by fentanyl,” he said.

The man expressed concern about what might have occurred if the order had ended in the wrong hands and voiced disinterest regarding having his meals delivered again.

“I question everything now. I question the company’s background checks. Do they really know the people who are working for them?” he said.

According to the company site, all operators are subjected to motor vehicle and criminal history checks.

The incident is being investigated by Columbus police, who said it was the first time they’d heard of illicit substances being encountered in a bag of deliverable food.
