A Nebraska day care worker has been accused of abusing a toddler and videoing it on Snapchat, which the boy’s mother discovered months later.

Courtney Stickley, 19, of Ogallala, has been taken into custody and charged with negligent child abuse on one count.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Nebraska TV, the Perkins County Sheriff’s Office initiated a criminal probe last month into an alleged abuse on a 20-month-old boy at an unidentified day care center in Grant on April 25.

The child ‘s mom called police after seeing a Snapchat video of Stickley sweeping her son’s feet out from under him, making the toddler to fall.

Stickley apparently recorded the video of the little boy landing back on his buttocks, back, and head and sobbing uncontrollably.

Stickley intentionally hurt the boy, according to a sergeant who examined the suspected abuse, because she began the Snapchat video before sweeping his legs.

Two former day care employees recognized the individual in the clip as Stickley centered on her clothing and told police the assault happened in the toddler room.

Stickley was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving on June 25 and later charged with child abuse.

She was released from jail after posting a bond of $7,500.
