Dozens In Central Florida Contract COVID-19 After Being Fully Vaccinated

People who have been fully vaccinated but still contract the virus more than 14 days after their second shot are referred to as COVID-19 breakthrough cases.

Cases are being reported across the country, including in Central Florida.

The Minnesota Department of Health issued a health advisory earlier this month, stating that it is investigating COVID-19 infections among people who have been “appropriately vaccinated,” also known as vaccine breakthrough cases, in collaboration with the CDC.
