Stalker: 44-Year-Old Woman Gunned Down Outside Her Amazon Job

The suspect in the Amazon shooting in Horn Lake, Mississippi was killed in an officer-involved shooting around 3:20 p.m., according to Memphis police.

Police saw the guy driving a white Honda near Whitten Road and I-40. During a traffic check, the suspect was shot and killed.

Ebony Crockett, 44, was the victim, and Corey D. Brewer was the suspect, according to Horn Lake Police.

Crockett worked at the facility, and Brewer was a former employee, according to Amazon officials.

Crockett had a no contact order against Brewer issued on May 9th and served on June 2nd in Poinsett County, Arkansas, according to court records. It refers to stalking and harassing communications allegations. Brewer was told not to have any weapons and to avoid Crockett’s home in Marked Tree as well as her job.

The shooting occurred outside the warehouse, according to Horn Lake Police.

The woman was shot three times, according to the sheriff’s office. She was declared dead at the scene.

Crockett worked at the warehouse, according to employees exiting the business, who described her as kind and quiet.

In response to the shooting, Amazon issued the following statement:

“We’re heartbroken by this violent act and we extend our deepest sympathy to the victim’s family. We are working to support our team and ensure their safety. We’re also working closely with the police department as they lead the response and investigate.”
