A ex-prison nurse has been charged with sexually assaulting a dozen female inmates at Oregon’s only women’s prison, Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.

Tony Daniel Klein, 37, was charged with the crimes in a federal indictment unsealed Monday by the United States Department of Justice, according to FOX29.

He is officially charged with 21 counts of sexually assaulting victims in violation of their constitutional right not to be subjected to cruel and unusual punishment.

According to court documents, Klein committed various types of sexual assault between 2016 and 2017, including aggravated sexual abuse and some that resulted in bodily harm.

His four perjury charges stem from his false testimony during a deposition related to an ongoing federal lawsuit alleging alleging he committed sexual misconduct while serving as a corrections nurse.
