An ex-stripper from New Orleans was sentenced to 20 years in prison after being accused of sexually abusing a 4-year-old boy and having sex with a dog.
Angeline Lodice, 33, of Old Jefferson, agreed to plead guilty Monday to forcible rape, possession of child pornography involving a minor under the age of 13, and sexual battery, according to court records obtained by NOLA.com.
Lodice, who previously worked as a stripper at a Bourbon Street club in New Orleans, had been imprisoned since her arrest in October 2014, after the boy’s father contacted sheriff’s officials.
The boy’s father stated that somewhere between late 2012 and October 2014, Lodice’s cousin gave him clips and pics of her performing oral sex on the 4-year-old. A grand jury indicted her in February 2015, according to NOLA.com.
When questioned by investigators, Lodice admitted to being the woman in the pictures and videos but stated she was under the influence of drugs at the time. According to an arrest affidavit, she also claimed she couldn’t identify the child in the disturbing images and videos.
According to the arrest affidavit, another clip evaluated by authorities showed Lodice having sex with a dog. Because the incident occurred in St. Landry Parish, Jefferson Parish prosecutors did not pursue charges, according to NOLA.com.
As part of a plea agreement, Lodice’s aggravated rape charge was reduced to forcible rape. If she was found guilty of the first charge, she faced a mandatory life sentence. A judge eventually sentenced her to 20 years in prison for forcible rape and possession of child pornography.
According to NOLA.com, the judge also sentenced Lodice, who must register as a sex offender, to ten years in prison for sexual battery, which she will serve concurrently with no parole or probation.
