Oklahoma City Police Kill Inmate Who Took Corrections Officer Hostage At Jail

Officials confirmed that an inmate had been shot and killed, and that the corrections officer who had been held captive had been released. That officer was taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to Sgt. Megan Morgan of the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers shot and killed the inmate.

She also confirmed that the inmate is being treated for his injuries at a local hospital.

In the video, an inmate tells the camera that they were doing what they had to because they didn’t have food and couldn’t shower at the jail. After that, another inmate is seen standing over the crouched detention officer.
