A late-night collision on O Street resulted in the death of two people and the hospitalization of 19 others.
According to a post on social media by the Lincoln Police Department, two female occupants perished in the collision near 52nd and O Streets.
LPD reported that both deaths were occupants of one of the cars involved in the crash.
One of the 19 people injured, some of whom were pedestrians, has life-threatening injuries, according to a police Facebook post.
Monday’s press release from Bryan Medical Center stated that 10 people were treated for injuries sustained in the accident, 7 at Bryan West and three at Bryan East.
Of the 10 patients, one is in critical condition and 2 are in serious condition. There were 8 patients treated and discharged from the hospital.
A 10/11 reporter on the scene reported that at least 3 vehicles seemed to to be implicated in the collision. One of the vehicles was discovered on the sidewalk.
