Police in Los Angeles are looking into the death of a mother of six who was discovered tied and gagged in her house.
Fatima Johnson, 53, was discovered in her residence Saturday night by members of her family. According to the Los Angeles Times, relatives searched for her when she missed a memorial service for her mother, who died of COVID-19. She had also skipped work and was not returning messages or phone calls.
Although no cause of death has been confirmed, her daughter, Tyesha Harvey, informed the Times that her mother was strangled.
Her silver Lexus, jewelry, and smartphone were all reported missing by family members, according to KABC.
Johnson was a student at Westchester College of Nursing and Allied Health at the time of her death, and she hoped to become a certified vocational nurse.
