Fetty Wap Arrested After Reportedly Making Threat and Flashing Gun on FaceTime

According to the US Attorney’s office, rap star Fetty Wap was taken into custody on Monday for reportedly threatening to murder a man and calling him a “rat” over FaceTime.

According to federal prosecutors, Willie Junior Maxwell II, better known as Fetty Wap, brandished a weapon on the call and said, “Imma kill you and everybody you with.”

The federal authorities also displayed photos of the rapper, who is said to be worth $10 million, flashing his gun during the phone conversation in December 2021, according to Daily Mail.

According to prosecutors, after the guy called the hip hop artist a rat, he responded saying, ‘Your man is a rat.’

Maxwell was previously released on a $500,000 personal recognizance bond following his arrest in October 2021 for his alleged role in Long Island drug trafficking.

According to an FBI agent, this was a “direct violation of both state law and the condition of his release.”

Fetty Wap was set to appear in federal court in Central Islip on Monday afternoon. It is unclear whether his bail will be withdrawn pending his trial.
