According to police, a Florida personal injury lawyer was disbarred after she was arrested on suspicion of mowing down 4 people in a parking lot due to “voices” in her head.
Beatrice Bijoux, 31, was charged with four counts of attempted murder in February after reportedly driving up on the sidewalk and striking people outside a Fort Lauderdale supermarket.
According to an arrest affidavit acquired by the Miami Herald, she told cops that “voices in her head had told her to kill the people.”
Bijoux, who was reportedly driving at 35 mph at the time of the attack, made no attempt to hit her brakes, according to authorities.

According to cops, surveillance footage shows her “reversing at a high rate of speed” before allegedly attempting to strike another pedestrian.
After the state Supreme Court granted the Florida Bar’s emergency authorization to suspend her, the lawyer was disbarred.
Bijoux was admitted to the state bar association in 2016 and had previously represented clients injured in such incidents just like the one she is accused of committing.
She is being held without bond after pleading not guilty to one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of fleeing at a high rate or with intent, and four counts of attempted murder.
