A jury convicted a Riverview man guilty of murdering his girlfriend and their 9-year-old daughter in 2018.

On Monday, closing arguments were held before the case was turned over to the jury for deliberations.

The jury convicted Ronnie Oneal III guilty of first-degree premeditated murder of his girlfriend Kenyatta Barron and his 9-year-old daughter after less than five hours of deliberation. He was also convicted guilty of attempted murder for stabbing and setting fire to his son, according to WTSP.

Oneal opted to represent himself. He shouted as he addressed to jurors, much like he did in his opening remarks a week earlier, stating his son’s allegations were contradictory and that he thinks his kid was likely manipulated by the Hillsborough County officer who ultimately adopted him, reported FOX13.

Ronnie is changing his tactics and now says he will allow his court-appointed attorneys to represent him during the penalty phase of his trial, according to WFLA8
