Florida Woman Accused Of Hitting Child With Vehicle Claims She Was Attempting To Run Over A Different Individual

A driver was accused of slamming her car into a woman and a child at a Pompano Beach park last week was pure chaos.

Before driving into a playground and hitting a grandmother and her 3-year-old grandson, the driver knocked down a portion of a gate.

According to the records, Phedeline St. Felix was driving the vehicle that hit Chaunda McCleod. She stated that she went to the park to resolve an argument with another woman and became emotional.

“I was attempting to run her over, but then I see someone put her out of the way,” St. Felix said.

Instead, McCleod asserted St. Felix drove towards her and her grandson, destroying a gate and driving into a playground where kids were trying to play. McCloud’s grandson suffered leg injuries, necessitating the use of staples. Her grandson, she claims, no longer wants to go to the park.
