Florida Woman Arrested After McDonald's Shootout & Standoff With Police

According to the sheriff’s office, a Florida woman was arrested after a shootout with deputies at a Florida McDonald’s on Saturday night.

Deputies were dispatched to the McDonald’s in Orlando at 10:35 p.m. for an armed robbery call, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

According to WFLA, customers and employees were unharmed after a woman in her 30s threatened violence and fired a weapon inside the restaurant, according to deputies.

According to the sheriff’s office, when three deputies arrived on the scene, the woman shot at them from inside the store. Three deputies returned fire, but no one was injured as a result of the incident.

Deputies tried to negotiate a surrender for over six hours during the standoff. The woman was arrested around 4:45 a.m. Sunday after leaving the restaurant.

The woman has yet to be identified by the sheriff’s office.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the shooting and has informed the State Attorney’s Office of its findings. Following that, the sheriff’s office said it would launch its own internal investigation.

The deputies involved in the incident were placed on paid administrative leave for a period of time.
