Florida Woman Stabs Her Roommate Several Times In Fight Over Stimulus Check

A woman is accused of picking up a steak knife and stabbing her roommate several times over an argument about $60 of her federal stimulus funds, according to WTSP.

According to a police department news release, officers discovered 77-year-old Dale Neary sitting in his backyard with multiple stab wounds on his body.

Police say he and Samantha Clark, 46, were arguing about the stimulus money when she assaulted him with “a common steak knife.”

According to police, Neary attempted to defend himself by hitting Clark with an aluminum pipe, but Clark continued to attack and stab him several times before fleeing.

Clark was apprehended for attempted murder after being discovered a few blocks away from the home. According to the release, officers noticed she appeared to be under the influence of illicit drugs.

Clark will be taken to jail after receiving treatment at a local hospital, while Neary remains hospitalized for severe injuries. He is expected to make a full recovery.
