Last Friday, assistant corrections director Vicky White escorted murder suspect Casey White out of an Alabama detention center (April 29).

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office provided the footage showing the last time both fugitives were seen, according to Reuters.

The manhunt for the unrelated pair is a top priority for the US Marshals Service.

Casey White, charged with capital murder in a September 2020 stabbing death, was last seen exiting the jail in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, about 65 miles west of Huntsville, on Friday.

According to Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton, he was handcuffed and shackled in Vicky White’s custody and being driven to the county courthouse for a mental evaluation.

The patrol car found in a shopping center parking lot led authorities to believe the two were missing. The inmate and officer switched cars, according to the sheriff.

Authorities have confirmed that both fugitives had “a special relationship,” according to inmates.
