In a speech in Dallas on Wednesday, former President George W. Bush erroneously confused his administration’s Iraq invasion with Russia’s unjustified war in Ukraine.

Bush, 75, quickly corrected himself after calling the Iraq invasion “wholly unjustified and brutal” during a discussion about election authenticity at Southern Methodist University’s George W. Bush Institute, according to video.

“The result is an absence of checks and balances in Russia, and the decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq.

“I mean of Ukraine,” the bumbling Republican said, wobbling his head, squinting, and snickering.

“Iraq too,” he mumbled softly before adding, “anyway… uh… 75,” an apparently referring to his age, as the audience giggled.
